We the people of Dundee are proud of our heritage, our strength and stability, our achievement in the face of adversity. We are intensely loyal to our Village,  and protective of our quiet way of life. We know, as we are constantly told by visitors, how lucky we are to call Dundee home. And yet, even as in corners of our hearts we yearn for the relative isolation and solitude of the past, and we wish that time would stand still in Dundee, we realize that the wider world has discovered us, and that with such discovery comes change. We accept that change is inevitable, but we do not bow down to the alleged God of “Progress.” We will not be swept away by the onrushing 21st century. We will manage change with the same intelligence and energy and determination our forebears met the challenges of their time.
